Most importantly, you need to consider your shower, and how this caddy fits into the space. It needs to rest in a place where it won’t get bumped into, and it needs to be big enough and sturdy enough to support whichever products it contains. Sure, that seems obvious, but I really do recommend taking a shower and imagining which kind of a caddy will be most practical based on these factors.

Think, too, about the maximum width and height of the area you’re choosing, and shop accordingly. Pro tip: A corner shower caddy maximizes the space and is the least likely to get in the way. A hanging caddy that suspends from your shower head is another unobtrusive option. It’s great to get one with suction support, if your walls allow it; they’ll need to be a nonporous material, like tile, glass, fiberglass, or metal. This will allow it to stay in place without sliding forward or tilting, especially given the hefty shampoos and body washes it might hold.

The one constraint I used while evaluating was that models don’t require drilling during installation; there are simply too many high-quality drill-free options, so unless your shower is custom-designed and necessitates drilling into, we highly encourage a hanging or suction pick from the roster below.

Look, I know that $70 feels like a tall order for a shower caddy, but considering function for a couple or small family, this caddy checks all the boxes.
